Facebook Admins & Why It’s A Good Idea To Have More Than One

At Social Progress, we always recommend having more than one trusted person with admin access to your Facebook page, which is now managed through Meta Business Suite.  However choose your admins wisely!

When a Facebook Page is created, it’s linked to the personal profile of the creator. That profile automatically becomes the first admin. The problem? If that person leaves the business, loses access to their account, or (worst case) their profile gets hacked or deleted, you could lose all access to your Page. And unfortunately, Meta rarely helps restore access in these situations.

We strongly advise our clients to have at least one other TRUSTED admin on the page, because admins have full control and can remove other admins, including you.

We act as a TRUSTED admin for a number of our clients. We do this as part of our account management service as well as checking our client’s social media on an ongoing monthly basis. But we also act as a TRUSTED admin on other Facebook Pages too for a small nominal annual fee – Get in Touch –

if you’d like to know more. This gives our clients piece of mind that should they lose access to their own Facebook Profile for whatever reason there’s always a ‘backdoor’ into their Facebook Page. And we can always add another Admin once you get your Facebook Profile sorted out.

If you’d like to know what other Facebook Roles there are and what each can do see the table below or click on the link to go directly to Facebook Help Center – Manage Page Settings or you can find details directly on the Meta Help Centre Meta Business Help Centre.

Are you on social media? Do get connected and say hello to us on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest & Instagram.
