Huddersfield Health & Wellbeing Innovation Partnership​ \ Thrive

HHII (Huddersfield Health Innovation Incubator)

has a variety of business support offerings available including a membership network, funding, mentoring of up to 8 hours, soft landing packages for organisations looking for a base in Kirklees, events, workshops, and business support.

Thrive, delivered through Kirklees Council and the University of Huddersfield is designed to help you develop your idea, launch and growth your business across West Yorkshire.

Support includes a collaborative-learning workshop and masterclass programme delivered by subject experts, with cohorts commencing in October 2025. The programme covers business planning, models and management; customer profiling; developing your health and wellbeing product or service; the healthcare landscape; marketing and branding; finance and funding; investment and funding readiness.

Along with these workshops, Thrive support provides:

Good Growth Programme

AD:VENTURE

AD:VENTURE provides ambitious new businesses with a tailored programme of support to help them grow and achieve their full potential. This fully funded business support is available to new businesses in West Yorkshire who are under 3 years old.

New businesses gain access to a dedicated business manager who can assist them in their growth journey. Offering practical support, including suggesting networks and connections, guidance on strategy, managing legislative and statutory requirements, and providing insights into what funding and finance is available locally and nationally.

AD:VENTURE offers a range of events and workshops on key growth topics and skills such as marketing, branding, customer journey, strategy, planning and sales, as well as network building opportunities with peer-to-peer sessions and inspirational events.

The AD:VENTURE Growth Grant can be used to fund costs that support business growth, covering up to 50% of total project costs, with grant awards between £1,500 and £10,000.

Digital Enterprise, funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund supports eligible, growth-focussed businesses across West Yorkshire to grow and scale by investing in digital.

Through grants and expert digital specialist advice, the programme assists businesses in improving performance, productivity and competitiveness, reducing environmental impact, and ultimately achieve sustainable growth.

Skills Bank

Social Progress is part of the Skills Bank network of training providers, offering employer led training through the programme.

South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) Skills Bank programme provides employers with a flexible pot of funding for training to develop workforces and boost business.
