3 Months Of SoPro Kira

3 Months Of SoPro Kira

SoPro Kira has now been with us for 3 months, and she’s fit right in to the team!

Kira hit the ground running as soon as she started, getting to know her clients, creating and scheduling content right away, and getting immediately stuck into blog writing and content creation for our SoPro socials.

Let’s take a look at what she has to say about her first 3 months at Social Progress.

A New Environment

I moved over to Huddersfield after living in Manchester, and over here it is a whole different ball game. The roads are more treacherous, the weather is a whole new experience, but I have to say I made the right decision to move over the other side of the Pennines and settle in this wonderful little Yorkshire town – it feels so good to be back in my Yorkshire roots.

I was so glad I found Social Progress, when you have a passion for media it can be quite hard to find what fits for you because of how broad the industry is, but in the first few weeks at Social Progress, I found myself being able to continue doing what I love – creating content that both myself and my clients are proud of.

What Have I Learnt

In just 3 months, my skills have broadened massively. You don’t seem to realise how much you can build upon your skills until those challenges are put right in front of you. I’ve loved delving deeper into my problem solving skills, researching tasks to help me complete them to the best of my ability, and mostly improving my graphic design skills. I love to see what new designs I can create on Canva and present new ideas that integrate my new skills to my clients.

I have learnt so much more too, how to better network, copywriting skills, a little more about SEO, email campaigns, and I have also learnt more about myself too. It feels great to be able to utilise my skills to help others who might perhaps otherwise struggle to build a graphic, or build an email campaign.

What Am I Looking Forward To

I’m most looking forward to continuing to build my skills in all areas, and learning new ones too. I’m always up for a challenge, and I constantly want to try something new. Developing my skill set is something I have always been passionate about, and I feel lucky that I’m able to develop that every day in my role here at Social Progress.
