Kirklees Business Conference 2016

Mar 14, 2016

We’re really excited to be part of the Kirklees Business Conference organised by the Mid-Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and hosted at The John Smith’s Stadium on Wednesday 16th March 2016.

With over 45 exhibitors within the main Conference Room, 9 speakers presenting across the day, a discussion panel and various networking opportunities it promises to be a jam-packed day!

Social Progress Ltd will be on Stand 41, which is (in theory) going to be more or less in front of the door – so you won’t miss us! We’re really looking forward to meeting lots of new people and catching up with some familiar faces too – we’re pretty sure we’ll see Mr John Steel Photography taking the official event photos like a ninja!

This is the second conference that I (Esther) have been a part of with Social Progress, so it’s interesting to go into it with memories of the Wakefield Business Conference last year. That was a very fun event and we really did meet a LOT of new people there!

CIQvRebW8AAYGjRWe’ll be taking the yellow typewriter again for people to dapple with – never fails to be a conversation starter! The question is whether we take Boost Bars again or not? Did you know Janet used to give “branded Boost Bars” out to people at events promoting our “Social Boost Package?” These tend to go down a storm, whether for the chocolate bar or for the branding we’re not 100% sure…

So, if you’d like to attend the Kirklees Business Conference, you can for FREE! The organisers simply ask you to register here: Kirklees Business Conference, so they can cater for numbers. If you’d like to find out more about The Mid-Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce you can visit their website here: MYCCI.

MYnetworkHUD - March 2016

Not only is there the conference but there’s also a FREE business networking event on the same day at The John Smith’s Stadium called #MYnetworkHUD which is 8:30-10am and open to all. Simply drop-in, buy yourself a cuppa and say “hello!” Janet and Esther won’t be very far away so do come and introduce yourself. We don’t bite!

Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday! Don’t forget to use the official hashtag for the event: #MYCK16. We’re hoping to do a Twitter Wall (like we did at the Fairtrade APPG Launch) depending on power supply, where all tweets which include the hashtag #MYCK16 will be displayed live on the screen! Do get involved and let’s make a buzz…

See you on Wednesday?
