Introducing Claire Helm

Jan 27, 2021

You may or may not have seen the new news; someone new has joined the Social Progress Team last week. We’d like to introduce Claire Helm. As is tradition, we’ve asked her to write a blog about herself as she starts her new chapter as a Social Media Account Manager. This is what she has to say:

Claire is a Social Media Account Manager and is the newest member of the gang. She brings a passion for social media, marketing and branding to our SoPro team and she loves communicating with everybody and anybody to help them to grow their businesses. She makes great tea too!

A native Liverpudlian, Claire lived all over the UK before coming to Holmfirth to work for CragRats, a theatre based education and business training company. After falling in love with the area she bought a house and settled here, going on in time to join advertising agency world in Manchester and working with many exciting brands.

Claire also runs CHC, a marketing communications consultancy working with business and schools, and a rather cute holiday cottage in Langdale Valley in the beautiful Lake District called Toffee Cottage, named after her sprocker spaniel Toffee.

Her three children keep her busy out of the office and with three pets in the mix too she is the most popular member of the Helm household at mealtimes. In her spare time Claire is a school governor at Netherthong Primary School and is often seen warbling with local bands The Killermeters and Highway 62.

When not enthusiastically helping clients and being knee deep and happy as Larry in a social media strategy she can be found enjoying a glass of Rhubarb and Ginger gin after a long yomp over hills in the Holme Valley or the Lakes with her husband Nick, the kids (after bribery has taken place of course – well the older two are teenagers what can you expect?) and Toffee (always keen on walkies).

We’re excited to have SoPro Claire on board and look forward to introducing her to you over the next few weeks and months. Please do help us make her feel welcome and say “hello”.
