Since the day I started, I like to think that I hit the ground running, although, now I look back it was more of a crawl. I was excited to be given the chance to prove myself in the office as I’d had minimal experience and spent the previous 10 years working in commercial kitchens. While working in kitchens, although I loved the cooking, I was locked away from the public with minimal interactions and as weird as it sounds…. no windows to look outside! It’s amazing how you appreciate the little things when you get a new job and this was a prime example. Coming to Social Progress I appreciated having more free time with my friends and family, the ability to meet new and interesting people, and even something as simple as looking out the window while working.
I don’t think it would have been as easy transferring from one industry to another if it wasn’t for the support from others in the team. They are always on hand to help, not only their clients, but also each other. It definitely makes the day-to-day less stressful and it’s nice knowing that there’s always someone here to have your back if you’re starting to struggle.
In simple words “Social Progress is a great place to work and wouldn’t want to work anywhere else” – Here’s to another 4 years…. And more!
