You may have seen the news; someone new has joined the Social Progress Team! We’d like to introduce Emily Brundle. As is tradition, we’ve asked her to write a blog about herself as she starts her new chapter as a Social Media Account Manager. This is what she has to say:
Hi, I’m Emily, SoPro’s newest team member.
I have always been passionate about social media and digital marketing, but it is only recently that I have finally built up enough confidence to pursue a career in it. Having recently opened up my own beauty salon and managing all of the social media and marketing, it has made me positive that this is what I want to do. This led me to apply for Social Progress and I am over the moon to officially be a part of the team.
After 3 months of renovating my salon (Sunday Studio), I was excited to open the doors in July, and now have a team of health and beauty experts who rent space in the salon and keep it running smoothly whilst I focus on my new role.
My first few weeks at Social Progress have been very exciting. I have already started to work alongside clients to help drive their brands forward and I have had meetings with the majority of them to ensure that I fully understand their brand, in order to get the digital marketing right for them.
I have learnt so much in such a short space of time. A few examples include; Successfully creating graphics using Canva, taking photo content for brands, meeting with clients, writing captions, scheduling posts and creating content calendars. The variety of clients I am working with is a huge positive of my role as Social Media Account Manager. I love learning about all different kinds of businesses and I feel that it gives me much more variety day-to-day. I also enjoy that I get to be a part of each stage of the process – from generating ideas and planning content, to creating strategies, evaluating analytics, taking content and designing graphics.
Outside of work, I have two working Cocker Spaniels, Jax and Jago, who keep me on my toes at home. We love to go for long walks, explore the outdoors and climb mountains together, usually in Wales. I’m excited to be back in Wales in the new year, and depending on the weather, we’re thinking of an adventure up Tryfan – fingers crossed for clear skies!
In my spare time, I also enjoy go-karting (some might say I’m a demon behind the wheel!), as well as enjoying cycling alongside my partner Tom whilst he runs.
I have such a positive feeling about Social Progress and believe it is going to contribute massively to both my professional and personal development. I am looking forward to attending MY Network this week and meeting even more people!
