Gaining Or Removing Access To A Facebook Page

Managing a Facebook Page used to be straightforward, but with the new Pages experience, adding or removing people can feel a bit more complicated. Whether you need to grant access to a team member or remove someone who no longer needs permissions, we’ve got you covered. Follow our step-by-step guide to make the process seamless.

How to Give Someone Facebook Access to a Page in the New Pages Experience

  1. Log in to Facebook and click your profile photo in the top right.
  2. Click See all profiles, then select the Page you want to manage.
  3. Click your Page’s profile picture in the top right to go to your Page.
  4. Navigate to Settings and privacy, then click Settings.
  5. Select Page setup, then go to Page access.
  6. Next to People with Facebook access, click Add new.
  7. Click Next, then type the name or email address of the person you want to add and select their profile.
  8. Choose the level of access:
    • Partial control: Scroll down and click Give access.
    • Full control: Scroll down, toggle the switch for full control, and then click Give access.
  9. Enter your Facebook password, then click Confirm.

And that’s it! The person will now have the appropriate level of control over your Facebook Page.

Just be careful who you give full access to your page as they can also remove any of the other admins.

We’d also recommend you always have two or more admins on your Facebook Page and all admins have two factor authentication switched on for logging into their Facebook profile.

But that’s a blog for another day.
