Facebook, in partnership with Enterprise Nation, were looking for six to eight digital and social media experts to present the #SheMeansBusiness programme to over 10,000 women across the UK in 2017.
Janet Bebb, Director of Social Progress, was hand picked along with seven other specialists for their knowledge and expertise in online digital marketing and is now officially a Facebook #SheMeansBusiness Certified Trainer.
Janet is the only adviser in the North of England. All the other seven digital specialists are from the Midlands, Southern Counties or London based.
All eight advisers were flown over to Facebook’s International office in Dublin for 2 days of briefing on the programme and to get familiar with the presentations they will be delivering. Watch out for events being facilitated via Enterprise Nation right across the UK.
The #SheMeansBusiness programme covers all aspects of Facebook and Instagram, and is designed to help female entrepreneurs (pre-start, startups or existing businesses) in how to leverage these social media platforms.
There’s a full suite of presentations include:
- Top tips for women starting a small business
- Intro to Online Marketing
- Intro to Facebook Pages
- Setting up a Facebook Page
- Manage Facebook Pages day to day
- Grow your business with Facebook
- Grow and Understanding your Audience
- Content Rules
Janet explained “The whole experience was brilliant. Facebook’s centre in Dublin is such an amazing place. So creative with space to work in a way that suits peoples needs. We were given a tour of the place which was great to see how they are innovating and always one step ahead of the game.”
“You can tell that the health & wellbeing of the staff is paramount with lunch, drinks and snacks provided free of charge. There’s a pool table, table football, sweet dispenser & even a free ice cream parlour. But what nailed it for me was the staff. They all genuinely seemed happy to be there.”
“It was also so inspiring to be around others in the digital industry. We shared our top tips and best practices. In fact that’s still going on, because, as you’d expect, we’re all now connected through a Facebook Group and WhatsApp.”
You can find all eight #SheMeansBusiness: Accredited Advisers on the Enterprise Nation website.
The programme will potentially unlock £45 million for the UK economy by the end of 2017 according to Enterprise Nation.
If you would like Janet to speak at your event then get in touch or visit the Event Speaking section of the Social Progress website.
